Ans: It is found that the average global temperature is increasing gradually and the earth is getting warmer. The gradual increase of the earth's temperature is known as global warming.

Ans: The main cause of global warming is the extreme increase of carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere.
Q.3. What are the effects of global warming on the environment?
Ans: There are various harmful effects of global warming on the environment. Some of them are-
i) Natural disasters are occurring frequently
ii) The climate is changing.

Ans: A significant and persistent change in the climate and its variability is called climate change.
Q. What is a greenhouse?
The phenomenon of trapping heat in the atmosphere and further warming the earth through water vapour, CO2, and other gasses are called the greenhouse effect.
Q.5. What is the reason of rising of the sea level on the earth?
Ans: The reason of rising of the sea level on the earth is due to the melting of ice and the increase of the earth's temperature.

Ans: We could prevent global warming in the following ways-
i) by emitting less CO2
