Verbs

1. The base form of a verb is the simplest form. It does not have the 's', 'ed' or 'ing' ending. We use the base form for the present tense in these ways:

a) with the pronoun subjects I, you, we and they

Ex.  I remember the robber's face very well.

You complain about the weather all the time.

We prefer a holiday in Spain rather than in Norway.

They manage the whole company themselves.


B) with plural noun subjects

Ex. The immigration officers check the passport for every traveller.

Those classrooms lack proper ventilation.
