Mean, Median & Mode- Statistics  Mean, median, and mode are fundamental concepts in statistics used to describe the central tendency of a data set.  1. Mean (Average) The mean is the sum of all the values in a data set divided by the total number of values. Formula: Mean = Sum of all values/Number of values Mean = Number of values/Sum of all values 2. Median The median is the middle value in a data set when the numbers are arranged in ascending (or descending) order. If there’s an even number of values, the median is the average of the two middle numbers. Steps to Find Median: Arrange the data in ascending order. Identify the middle value. 3. Mode The mode is the value(s) that appear most frequently in a data set.
